The SAA person in charge of graduation audits for majors in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences is Stacy Jordet. If your major (or first major) is History, then Ms. Jordet will do your graduation audit. When you have completed 79 hours of coursework, you should get a yellow card from Ms. Jordet's office initiating your graduation audit; just follow instructions. If you don't get such a card, get hold of Ms. Jordet (231-6518, stacy.jordet@ndsu.nodak.edu) to start the process. In some cases, such as a late change of major or degree option, it may be necessary to have a second audit.
If your major (or first major) is History Education, then your degree audit is done by Robert Dirk (231-8980, Robert.A.Dirk@ndsu.nodak.edu).
Many of my advisees have a double major, History + History Education. This is what I recommend for those who intend to teach History in the middle or high schools. In such case your first degree audit is by Ms. Jordet, and the second by Mr. Dirk. The second degree audit is concerned only with specific requirements in the major; it does not treat general education, because that is covered in the first degree audit.
I like to see the results of any degree audit you have done.
